JLCC Potluck

I had a JLCC potluck party yesterday. About 14 members joined this party. We took food each other; Sushi, cake, vanilla pudding... I was late for this party, so I could not eat some food because other members finished to eat. I was so sad... The place we had a party was our member's house. There was a nice place and we enjoyed very much.

Sukhothai (Thai Food Restaurant)

These 2 days were so hot, so I wanted to eat spicy food. Then, I went to have a dinner at "Sukhothai" with my friends. This restaurant is small but there were many customers. I ate pan fried noodle and Thai fried roll, and my friends ate fried rice and Curry. Noodle was little bit sweet and sticky. I like more spicy one. As for the Curry, it was less spicy than my friend expected but it was still hot. Thai fried roll was very crispy and I like this texture very much. It is yummy! Most of the meals were under $10. I want to try other meal next time.

Playhouse

I went to see a musical "West Side Story" in Playhouse at Washington park(http://www.parkplayhouse.com/). To see play is one of my favorite summer activities. I arrived the park before 30 minutes of starting time but there were many people and it was difficult to fine my seat. I found some of my friends and could join them. I was so lucky! The musical was very impressed me. I have already known the story but I enjoyed very much. I can not believe that we do not need but the ticket! This is nice system for children and poor college students like me!

Yukata

I got a parcel from my husband because I will wear Yukata(a kind of Japanese Kimono made from cotton) in community fun day next month. He sent me a set of Yukata and some Japanese snacks. Now a days I really missed Japanese snacks, so I am so happy.

Birthday Party

Today, I joined the birthday party of my friend's husband. It was surprising party, so we prepared when he worked in his office. It was so fun for me. We put a lot of decoration in the room and our side. Our party was held in pool side of my friend's house. Today was so lovely day and all children swam in the pool. Most of adults drank beer or other alcohol and ate lot of food. I like these atmosphere and enjoyed very much.

I love fruits!

Summer and fall are the best seasons for fruits! I love fruits very much, especially I love peach and plum.
Today I went to buy some fruits at "Troy waterfront farmers market(http://www.troymarket.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=63)". I like this market because it is so lively and there are many friendly vendors. When I see the vegetable which I do not know what it is and how to cook, then they teaches me even if there are some customers to wait.
Today, I bought plum (8 for $4.5), raspberry (200g for $4.5) and cherry (350g for $3.5). Of course, I did not forget to buy bakery at Mrs.London! I am so happy to get delicious fruits!

Miyako (Japanese Restaurant)

I went to have a dinner at "Miyako(http://miyakosteakhouse.com/)" with my friends. This restaurant is the one I ate Japanese food for the first time in Albany. I was surprised not to write review of this restaurant. There are 3 tatami-rooms(Japanese style rooms) for 8 people. I like this type of room. In the menu, there are many appetizer like Japanese bar and we ate some of them (Yakitori, Agedashi-toufu and Kushiyaki). Also, I ate "vegetable & Chicken Tempura($12.95)". These tempura were really crispy and it looked very unusual for me. They looked Tempura but they were not real Tempura. I did not try Sushi today but last time I tried, the raw fish were so-so and taste was not good and not bad. Overall, this restaurant is average of Japanese restaurants in Albany, I think.
