Dinner

some of my husband's co-worker will return to Japan tomorrow. So,　we had a dinner together at "Olive Garden(http://www.olivegarden.com/default_f.asp)". This restaurant served Italian food and their bread are so nice. Before eating main dish, I ate much bread and was almost full! I ate Grilled chicken and my husband ate Grilled Pork. Both of them were better and we were satisfied. We talked a lot and ate delicious food. I really enjoyed this dinner.

Molecular Modeling

Because my instructor required us to get molecular modeling, I bought one in Web site(http://www.darlingmodels.com/ccp51/cgi-bin/cp-app.cgi?usr=51F9615152&rnd=4943134&rrc=N&affl=&cip=74.76.117.77&act=&aff=&pg=splash). Today I got it, and then I made some molecules!! Here are "Ethanol" and "Benzene"!!

Villa Italia Bakery (Italian Cafe)

It is difficult to find good sweets near Albany area but I have one. Here is a good cafe in Schenectady. "Villa Italian Bakery(http://www.villaitaliabakery.com/)" has always many customer. Their cakes are not put much cream but they sell better cookies and breads. We can eat them in the cafe and take them out. Also, they were selected "Best Espresso in 2007" in Metroland(http://metroland.net/). Today, I bought some cakes and cookies, and took them out to my house. Eating them with coffee is so nice and I was so happy!

CCK Restaurant (Chinese Restaurant)

My husband and I went to have a lunch at "CCK Restaurant". This restaurant serves Chinese food and Japanese food but in Japanese food there was only Sushi. I am not looking forward to having Sushi because this restaurant owner is Chinese. I heard this restaurant's roast pork and duck are really goof and wanted to try them. My husband ate noodle with roast duck and I ate stir-fry with chicken and nuts. Their roast duck was so good, and my husband and I really like it. My meal was also good. There were many kinds of vegetables in it. In the menu, most of the dishes are under $10.00 and there are many dishes. I believe I will go again!

New Year's Party

My husband and I joined "New Year's Party" at "Mari's Japanese Cuisine" sponsored by JCACD(Japanese Cultural Association of the Capital District; http://geocities.com/jca_cd/). There were about 50 people who were Japanese or their family. The party started at 12:00 and we introduced ourselves at first, then eat lunch. The lunch is Buffet style and we could eat Japanese New Year's dishes. such as ozouni(Japanese New year soup), Sushi, Oden(Japanese hotchpotch boiled in kelp-based broth seasoned with soy sauce), tempra and so on. All food were delicious and I could enjoy talking and eating. After eating, we had lottery and bingo, but I could not get any gift. My husband and I enjoyed very much and were sooo tired today.

Fish Market

I found the fish market which name is "The Cousins(http://www.cousinsfish.com/)". Inside the shop, there are 2 spaces; fish market and deli. In the fish market, there were many kinds of fish; Tuna, Tilapia, Scrod, Red Snapper, Porgy, Sea Bass and so on. In the deli, we can eat fish fry and clam fry but on Sunday it is closed. I was so depressed and will go again on weekday. I bought robuster and Cherry stone clams. I cooked clam chowder and steam clam with alcohol. They were so tasty!

The Whistling Kettle Tea Lounge & Cafe (Cafe)

We went to "The Whistling Kettle Tea Lounge & Cafe(http://www.thewhistlingkettle.com/)" at Ballston Spa. This cafe serve many kinds of tea. It was difficult for me to decide which tea I would drink. My husband ate "Roast Beef Panini (Roast beef panini + small salad; $9.45)" and Personal pot of tea($3.50). I ate "The Kettle's Quiche Tea(Quiche + salad or soup + scone or tea bread + personal pot of tea; $14.45)". The panini's bread was crispy and I liked this texture. The quiche was so big because I imaged quiche was served 1 or 2 pieces but they serve me a while of quiche(φ15cm) and I was surprised. Of course I could not eat all of them and took our apartment. In the cafe, there were many kinds of cups and tea servers around the entrance, and many kinds of tea were displayed in the counter. Ii looks like English style tea lounge and I am fond of it. It is almost 30 minutes from our apartment but it is valuable to take luxury time. I will go again and try another tea!

EATS(Gourmet Marketplace)

Recently, I saw a Web Site of my friend((http://celinabean.com/)) and wanted to try "Chipotle Pesto". Then, I went to "EATS(http://www.eatsalbany.com/)" and bought it. This shop is in Stuyvesant Plaza（http://www.stuyvesantplaza.com/） and they treat many kinds of local organic foods. I have already known this shop but I did not enter it, so I entered and looked for good food for me. Finally, I bought "Chipotle Pesto(156g, $6.38）" and "Blackberry and peach jam(284g, $5.60)"
According to ingredients, there were chipotle, olive oil, garlic, butter and cheese in Chipotle Pesto. the smell is cheese and onion, and taste is really yummy!! "Blackberry and peach jam" is little bit sweet for me but it is tasty. I like these products and I like this shop!

Lunch with our nieces

Our 2 nieces'(3 years old and 7 years old)birthday are in December and January but we were busy last month, so we met them today and ate lunch together. We met at Palisades Center((http://www.palisadescenter.com/))and went to have a lunch at Cheesecake Factory(http://www.thecheesecakefactory.com/). We brought birthday present for them and gave them. We selected pink bags at Libby Lu(http://www.clublibbylu.com/). They looked so happy and we were happy, too. Lunch menu in Cheesecake Factory were nice and we enjoyed good lunch and good talking very much.
