My husband and I joined "New Year's Party" at "Mari's Japanese Cuisine" sponsored by JCACD(Japanese Cultural Association of the Capital District; http://geocities.com/jca_cd/). There were about 50 people who were Japanese or their family. The party started at 12:00 and we introduced ourselves at first, then eat lunch. The lunch is Buffet style and we could eat Japanese New Year's dishes. such as ozouni(Japanese New year soup), Sushi, Oden(Japanese hotchpotch boiled in kelp-based broth seasoned with soy sauce), tempra and so on. All food were delicious and I could enjoy talking and eating. After eating, we had lottery and bingo, but I could not get any gift. My husband and I enjoyed very much and were sooo tired today.
