Today I joined the family picnic, organised by Albany-Area Japanese community, at "Indian Ladder Farm(http://www.indianladderfarms.com/cgi-bin/ilf.cgi)". There were over 30 people to join this picnic. Each of us brought 2 meals and I brought "Inari-sushi(a kind of Sushi)" and "Samosa(a kind of dumpling but Indian style)". Other people brought rice ball, fried dumpling, Japanese noodle, fried chicken and so on. I focused to eating and did not see beautiful view. I took 2 of my friends, Taiwanese and Spanish Girls. They liked Japanese food very much and they eat a lot, too. I was so happy to see them.

Mari-san,
My wife is Japanese, and we are looking for a Japanese community here in Albany for her benefit, and for the benefit of our 2-year-old son.
I have not been able to find any information. Can you help me?
Thank you!
- Craig
Hi Craig,
Of course I can.
There are some "play-groups" for children, "Japanese language & culture goup" for elementary school children and "Japanese Cultural Association of the Capital District". I can introduce organisers. Please send me an E-mail (E-mail : htoshi@ka2.so-net.ne.jp)!
Mari
