Farmers Market

I went to the farmers market at Troy (http://www.troymarket.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=41&Itemid=63) because I wanted to eat better fruits. But there was only apples there. Most shops sold vegetables and saplings. I was sad but I bought some breads at Mrs.London (http://mrslondons.com/) and apple juice for my lunch.

Meeting @Coop

I had a "The Capital District Gourmet Meetup(http://cooking.meetup.com/534/)"meeting at Coop(http://www.honestweight.coop/) today. Today's theme was "Learn to create delicious and healthful meals with Tofu". We tried to eat "Stir-fried tofu", "Shiroae tofu salad" and "Chocolate orange mousse". All of them were so delicious, especially mousse was awesome!! I want to try to make. After the meeting, we had a tour in Coop and found many soy foods, such as Miso, Shoyu and Soy milk. I am familiar with Tofu (Of course, I am Japanese), but this meeting was so interested because I was surprised to find that tofu was so popular in America and many American eat tofu.

Greek Festival

I went to "Greek Festival(http://www.stsophia.net/FestivalFlyer.html)" at St.Sophia Orthodox Church. I was so surprised because this event was bigger than I was expected. When I paid entrance fee ($2.00), I could find 3 rooms. One of them was market. I could see many kinds of Greek products, such as T-shirts, book, pictures and accessories. Next room was restaurant and take-out pastries. I bought 5 pastries in this corner. All pastries were like Turkish or Italian style, I think. Each of pastries was almost $1.25. Last room had stage and many fast-food stands. I bought "Souvlaki (Greek style wrap?)" and taste was really good. In a stage, children danced and they were sooo cute. I took a lot of pictures.

Other people brought rice ball, fried dumpling, Japanese noodle, fried chicken and so on. I focused to eating and did not see beautiful view. I took 2 of my friends, Taiwanese and Spanish Girls. They liked Japanese food very much and they eat a lot, too. I was so happy to see them.

Today I saw beautiful cherry blossom tree in my friend house. I took a picture of it because it was sooo beautiful. I think spring has come in Albany.

AliBaba (Turkish Restaurant)

I had a lunch with my friends of IELP(http://www.albany.edu/ielp/AboutIELP.html) course at "AliBaba". My Turkish friend recommended me this restaurant. The restaurant serves typical Turkish food. We ordered several different dishes and shared together. The Turkish food likes Indian food but spice was not used, so the taste was not spicy.
