Bangkok Thai Restaurant (Thai food)

My husband's coworkers, my husband and I went to have a dinner at "Bangkok Thai Restaurant". Inside the restaurant was big and there were many meals. I ate noodle (it was not spicy) and my husband ate beef with spicy source ( it was really spicy). Taste was not good but not bad... Big deal is a Japanese girl works in this restaurant on Thursday, Friday and Saturday dinner time. We can ask about the meals in Japanese.

Perfect Blend (Cafe)

I saw the introduction of "Perfect Blend(http://www.perfectblendcafe.com/)"in Metroland(http://metroland.net/) as "Best Coffeehouse 2007". I wanted to go there and today I went there with my husband. Inside the cafe, it was really blight and looked comfortable (actually very comfortable in this cafe). There were a lot of drink menu and it was difficult to decide which I drink. As for the meals, there were fer, such as panini, cakes and quiche. We ate quiches. These quiche were little small and light. This cafe is not for lunch, it is for tea time!

Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet

I got 2 ticket of "Thanksgiving Dinner Buffet" sponsored by International Student Service and Graduate Student organization of SUNY. My husband and I went to the hotel near uptown campus and joined this dinner. I heard there were some traditional Thanksgiving meals, so I expected to see big turkey but I could not see. Because Turkey was sliced and served with gravy source. I had the first time to eat Turkey. Turkey was drier than chicken but tasty and looked healthy. We ate pumpkin pie and apple pie for dessert. We ate a lot of meals and were satisfied.

New York City One-Day Trip

My husband and I went to "Consulate-General of Japan" in New York City(http://www.ny.us.emb-japan.go.jp/en/html/index.html-japan.go.jp/en/html/index.html) because we had to update our passports. We left our apartment at 6:00AM and went to Harrison station by our car and we rode on a train from Harrison and New York City. We arrived there about 9:30AM. I had a first time to ride a train in the US. So, I was little exciting!
After arriving, we went to Consulate-General of Japan and received new passports. Next, our purpose was to see Christmas show in Radio City Music Hall.(http://christmas.radiocity.com/index.htmlex.html). I watched this show last year when I went to New York City for my school trip. It was impressed me a lot, so I wanted to see again. Same as last year, the show was really gorgeous and surprised me a lot. My husband and I enjoyed very much.
After we saw the show, we walked around the Radio City Music Hall to look for some Japanese restaurant. I found the "La Maison du Chocolat(http://www.lamaisonduchocolat.com/fr/)" and bought some pieces of chocolate. Then, we dropped in "Gyu-kaku(http://www.gyu-kaku.com/)". Gyu-kaku is one of the famous Japanese BBQ restaurants. When we lived in Japan, we went there a lot. We ate Lunch combo($20) and enjoyed eating very much.
After eating lunch, we went to grand central station and walked around the shopping mall and returned to Harrison by train. Because we got up very early today, we exhausted but were really fun; gorgeous show and delicious meals!!

Fumidifier

I bought humidifier because inside of my room became drier now a day. Last year I bought it but it did not work this year. Perhaps I did not clean it before I finished using last year. I cleaned it again and again last week but it did not work well. So, I gave up to clean it up. I went to "Bed Bath & BEYOND(http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/default.asp?order_num=-1&)" and bought pretty one. I like it very much.

Romano's Macaroni Grill Restaurant (Italian Restaurant)

My husband and I went to have a lunch at "Romano's Macaroni Grill Restaurant(http://www.macaronigrill.com/Home/Default.aspx)". I do not like to eat Pasta at Italian restaurant because in most Italian restaurant, Pasta is too boiled and become sticky. But we changed our mind today and went to eat Pasta. My husband ate Spaghetti with meat ball and I ate Lunch combo (Half sandwich and soup). His pasta was too boiled and sticky. It was depressed him because pasta source was so tasty. My soup was little spicy but I like it. After eating main, we ate desserts. My husband ate Italian sorbet and I ate Tiramisu. This Tiramisu was little sweet but it matched with bitter coffee. But too big for me!!

SAKURA (Japanese Restaurant)

My husband and I went to have a dinner at "SAKURA(http://www.sakurany.com/default.aspx" in Clifton Park. This restaurant was bigger than we expected when we saw the entrance. Inside the restaurant, there were 2 area; HIBACHI seat area and regular seat area. We sat regular seats. My husband ate "Sushi Deluxe(9 pieces of sushi and 1 California roll, $18.95)" and I ate 3 different kinds of rolls; "Alaska Roll(salmon+avocado+cucumber, $4.95)","Spicy Tuna Roll(spicy tuna caviar+scallion with crunch, $5.50)" and "Rainbow Roll(crab+cucumber inside with raw fish+avocado on the top$10.95)". All of them were better but not best. I wondered why many people came to this restaurant because there is another Japanese restaurant "Mr.Fuji" in opposite side of the road and that restaurant is better, too. Is the HIBACH good??? I will try HIBACHI next time.

Kabuki Japanese Restaurant (Korean & Japanese Restaurant)

In recent days, morning and night temperature were under 0 ℃ and maximum temperature was under 5 ℃. My husband said "Shall we eat something hot in lunch time?", so we went to "Kabuki Japanese Restaurant" and ate Korean food. This restaurant is Japanese restaurant but Korean foods are really testy. One of my Korean friends recommended me. My husband ate "Spicy Korean soup noodle" and I ate "Beef and some vegetables on rice". Both of them were delicious and they made us hot! Korean food is good for winter time!

Statehood Quarters

I am collecting "Statehood Quarters(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/State_Quarters)". These coins are special and have beautiful designs. I think I have most of them, so I went to Borders(http://www.bordersstores.com/index.jsp) and bought collection file. After putting my coins in this file, I found that I have 43 coins and rest of them released just now or will release next year. I will get all of them!!!

Cafe 217 (Cafe)

My husband and I went to have light meal at "Cafe 217". In side the cafe, it was like French cafe and they served light meal, such as omelet, bagels and french toast. My husband ate "Today's special omelet" and I ate "Panettone french toast". Today's special omelet was omelet with mushroom and cheese. It looked very good and actually taste was good. Panettone french toast was really nice. It had orange flavor and made me happy with maple syrup. Most of the customers were young people, like collage students but not noisy in the cafe. One big problem is little far from my apartment !!

The Albany Sushi Meetup Group @ Saso

I am a member of "The Albany Sushi Meetup Group(http://sushi.meetup.com/121/)" Today, I had a first time to join the meeting at "Saso(http://www.sasos.com/)"! Last 2 meeting were at "Sushi-tei" and "Sakura". Today, there were 8 members and 1 guest. Everyone was so nice and we had a good time to talk and eat delicious Sushi. Saso served really good Sashimi and I enjoyed them very much but price was little expensive(Sushi Dinner Box $22.9). If the price is cheaper, I can go there frequently.
